Merwin Conservancy Media Programs Honored with Preservation Award

In 2021, Historic Hawai‘i Foundation recognized two virtual video programs produced by The Merwin Conservancy for “Achievements in Interpretive Media” at their Annual Preservation Awards Ceremony. The Sitting Room, a meditative video that invites website visitors to sit inside W.S. Merwin’s garden dojo, and Garden of Verses, a virtual event held in honor of W.S. Merwin’s birthday, both received awards.

Historic Hawai‘i Foundation’s Preservation Interpretive Media Award recognizes excellence in a printed publication, DVD, maps and brochures, digital application or visual presentation that interprets the history, preservation or physical characteristics of a historic property.

The 2021 Preservation Honor Awards Virtual Ceremony was held on Friday, May 21st.
