Lauren teaches Earth Science at Ilima Intermediate in Ewa Beach. As an educator, Lauren stresses the importance of slowing down and taking time to be still and pay attention. She’s a passionate proponent of social emotional learning and has seen first hand the dramatic effects this can have among her students in Ewa Beach. She believes that students can have an impact within their community, especially when it comes to preservation in the Hawaiian islands. She holds a Masters in Teaching Secondary Education with content in Earth Space Science & Geology from Wilmington University. She was also a participant in the 2014 Bioenergy and Bio products Education Program at Cornell University.
