The Merwin Conservancyʻs beloved arts and ecology series The Green Room continued with current writer-in-residence Carrie Fountain, poet and the author of The Poem Forest, a new children’s book about the life and work of W.S. Merwin and the founding of The Merwin Conservancy. Carrie has has spent time writing in the former home of W.S. and Paula Merwin, and gave a very special reading of The Poem Forest for Maui families at the Hui Noʻeau Visual Arts Center on Maui. For the online broadcast, she was joined by the book’s illustrator Chris Turnham.
