Susan Casey in The Green Room

December 4, 2015 By Merwin Conservancy

Susan Casey at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center

Friday, December 4, 2015 at Maui Arts and Cultural Center, McCoy Studio Theater

“Casey writes lucidly, so the rest of us can come along for the ride.” – The New York Times

The Merwin Conservancy proudly presented Susan Casey, a popular science author with three bestsellers to her credit, including one about great white sharks (The Devil’s Teeth), and another exploring rogue waves around the globe (The Wave).

Susan Casey’s newest best-selling book, Voices in the Ocean, immerses the reader in salt water for a third time, studying the “wild and haunting world of dolphins”. Her Green Room appearance focused on the experiences behind this book.

Her captivating approach to writing enables the reader to join her in the fascinating and enlightening journeys that come to life, thanks to her thirst for adventure and gifted storytelling.

Casey appeared as the newest guest in The Green Room, a literary and environmental salon series bringing the values of W.S. Merwin and the non-profit Merwin Conservancy into the community through a reverence for nature, language & imagination. All proceeds from the event supported the organization, thanks to event sponsors FIM Group.
