“I feel like the Hawaiian culture evokes the imagination and respect for the natural world, and of course the Hawaiian language is poetry for me. I am excited to learn more and teach concepts that help to perpetuate Hawaiian culture and cosmology.”
Tiffany worked as a professional newspaper reporter become jumping tracks into teaching, which she finds far more rewarding. She is enrolled in the Kaho’iwai Center for Teaching and Learning, which focuses specifically on the teaching of the Hawaiian child. She has a deep interest and respect for Hawaiian culture and wants her students to experience this as well. She also hopes they will have a heightened sense and appreciation for the natural environment that thrives in the Pacific. She has a B.S. in Communications and Mass Media from University of Wyoming.
