Laurie Faure has been teaching elementary school for over 14 years. She’s been recognized as an innovative curriculum developer and is also a trained mindfulness educator (mindfulness practices help students develop self-awareness that informs their relationships to others and the earth.) Together with her students, she has planted gardens, which have been used as open classrooms, at five different schools. She is the recipient of many grants in support of STEM and Language Arts programs that she’s implemented and is also the recipient of several awards, including a Fulbright scholarship. She has a Master’s in Education from the University of Hawaii.
