“…my hope is for the fellowship to soften my writing’s tone, perspective, and content to lean more feminine.”
As an Montessori Adolescent Teacher, Jeffrey acts as “peer, guide, friend, mentor, cook, and houseparent” to his students. He focuses on helping them develop their individual personalities through a growing awareness of their strengths, challenges, interests, aversions, and behaviors. He feels that a strong relationship with the land is an integral component of this kind of personal development. He also emphasizes to his students how independence and individual skill are complemented by collaboration with others. His hope for the fellowship is that it will assist him in crafting more imaginative learning opportunities across multiple academic disciplines. He holds a BA in English from Binghamton University (SUNY) and a Masters of Education from Chaminade University.
