Join us on Thursday, December 6th at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center for our latest installment of The Green Room, a literary and environmental salon series that fosters a reverence for language, nature, and imagination in the community.
This intimate evening will feature LEWIS HYDE and MATTHEW ZAPRUDER in conversation; Hyde is author of The Gift, a MacArthur Fellow and renowned scholar, while Zapruder is an accomplished poet, translator and former poetry column editor of The New York Times. Their collaborative presentation will be an exploration of creative life, in all its complex, intricate, surprising dimensions. Their writing, both about the creative process and born of it, has shifted our understanding of what creativity makes possible.
Their presentation begins at 7:00pm in the McCoy Studio Theater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) on Thursday, December 6th.
Tickets are $25 per person, with a $10 ticket price for students with valid ID, and are available at the MACC Box Office, by phone at (808) 242-SHOW, or online when purchased in advance at this link: mauiarts.org/merwin
The evening is generously presented by FIM Group, with additional support from Atherton Family Foundation and Dorothy McCoy.
